PHASE 1
   VIRTUAL COMPETITION

ABOUT

ADC|IBC  offers a unique fusion of the historic ballet competitions such as, Varna, Prix de Lausanne, NY IBC & USA IBC, while maintaining accessibility for the pre-professional student. Our event structure is designed for the professionally driven student. We aim to educate and provide the necessary experiences for our students to grow in knowledge and strength to enter professional companies.

A new format was recently developed to meet the demands of our changing climate that we now face globally. We know that dancers want to keep moving and to get back to their regimens. We will be providing a structure that affords all the same opportunities and dance education, while maintaining a controlled environment to meet CDC recommendations. Please read through the remainder of this page along with Phase 2, and How to Join to review changes.

2021 Competition will be completed in two different phases. All dancers interested are welcome to join into Phase 1. This portion is completed virtually. Dancers are required to submit specified video and photo materials to be evaluated by two distinct panels of adjudicators. One panel is tasked with emulating the traditional competition experience by providing scoring and comments per student, and selecting the Top Finalists. The second panel comprises our extensive scholarship network, who are tasked with selecting recipients for their various programs. All dancers from Phase 1 are eligible for scholarship awards.  At the completion of the virtual phase, majority of scholarship awards will be announced, along with the Top Finalists from each age division. These students will be notified, and invited to an exclusive, in-person Final Round.
